THE QUEST

Heading clockwise out (and up!) from Parwich, you'll explore limestone strewn paths, grassy fields and encounter many dry-stone walls. You'll be glad to hit the High Peak Trail for an easy section after all of that climbing, as well as our first Aid Station of the event! Indulge in real Coca Cola until your hearts content, and then head further along the High Peak Trail, reaching our first point of interest and the name-sake of this event - Minninglow Hill - your first location of the "Collect and Deliver" Quest!

And what a splendid first point-of-interest Minninglow is; ancient and mysterious, it is a large collection of ancient tombs strewn through a small woodland on the top of a hill, with a distinctive double ring of beech trees that make it a visible landmark for many miles.

Once you have summited Minninglow & collected your card, the route re-joins the runnable High Peak trail for a few more miles before our next point-of-interest; a scramble to the summit of Harborough Rocks, where your second item of the Quest awaits. If the weather is clear, from the trig point here you will be able to see panoramic views across the Peak District National Park.

After the trig-bag at Harborough Rocks, you may be relieved to know that there is no more High Peak Trail running left! Heading down from the trig, the route follows trails across farmland and open-access land but fear not! As before you must descend the "Cliff" into Carsington Village, your second Aid Station awaits. More Cola and you'll be on your way to the quaint village of Brassington. This isn't the only picture-perfect village you get to enjoy though, as the village of Bradbourne is only a short jaunt away on beautiful trails.

Once you've admired the buildings in - and views from - Bradbourne, as well as your third & final Aid Station of the Quest, you're almost at the finish. Continue along the trails, deliver your two items to the finish line in Parwich & your reward for a Quest well completed is yours. Make the finish line team burst with laughter if your card combination is hilarious & you may also win a spot prize!
